Good practices of implementing inventions developed at the Lublin University of Technology

The innovative production technology of bituminous mass with the addition of clinoptilolite, developed on the basis of the patent PL 230907, was implemented by Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych Sp. z o.o. in Zamość. The idea behind this solution is an invention by members of the MSAGroup team: prof. hab. dr inż. Wojciech Franus, dr inż. Agnieszka Woszuk and Dr. Lidia Bandura "The method of foaming asphalt with zeolite".

On the basis of the developed solution, Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych Sp. z o.o. implements the project no. POPW.01.03.01-06-0011/19 " under the Operational Program Eastern Poland for 2014-2020, Priority Axis I: Entrepreneurial Eastern Poland, Measure 1.3 Supra-regional cooperation links; Sub-measure 1.3.1 Implementation of innovations by SMEs.

The aim of the project is to increase the innovative potential and strengthen the market position of Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych Sp. z o. o. This will be achieved through the implementation of an innovative process for the production of bituminous mass with the addition of zeolite (clinoptilolite)

and expanding the market offer with a new ecological product. For the implementation of the innovative technology, a new production line was purchased, dedicated to the asphalt foaming process by the addition of zeolite. This implementation made it possible to lower the process temperatures of the mineral-asphalt mixture by approx. 20 ° C, lower energy consumption and reduce the emission of hazardous compounds into the atmosphere.

By introducing ecological solutions into economic practice, the company significantly increased its potential in the implementation of innovative processes.
