Our student became the laureate of the English Language Olympiad!

We are pleased to announce that Mr. David Jalkh, a student of Lublin University of Technology, became the laureate of the 22nd National English Language Olympiad for Technical University Students.

A total of 299 students from all over Poland, including 33 from our University, entered the competition and several dozen people were qualified for the second stage, including five students from our university.

On April 23, 2021, the second stage of the Olympiad took place, and a day later, the final stage which was attended by the ten best participants. Among the winners of the competition, Mr. David Jalkh was classified in 10th place.

For all our students who participated in the second stage of the Olympiad, the Department of Foreign Languages of LUT prepared a surprise in the form of a free voucher for the LanguageCert LTE exam.

The Centre of Languages and Communication of Poznan University of Technology is the originator and organizer of the National English Language Olympiad for Technical University Students. Each year the competition involves hundreds of students representing several leading technical universities in Poland. The aim of the competition is to test technical university students’ language competences covering both general English and ESP as well as their knowledge of English-speaking countries.
